Terms of Use
Last updated: July 20, 2026
AC Savings is a simple tool: it reads your local weather and suggests the highest comfortable temperature for your AC unit, then estimates what you save. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The short version
AC Savings gives you guidance and estimates, not promises. The suggested temperatures and the money figures are our best estimate from the weather and the details you enter — your real comfort and real savings depend on your home, your AC unit, your electricity rate, and your habits. You stay in control; the app never touches your AC.
What the app does
AC Savings suggests a setpoint (or, for dial units, a notch) for right now, sends gentle reminders when that suggestion changes, and keeps a running estimate of what a higher, still-comfortable setting saves you. It is advice you choose to follow — you set your own AC yourself.
Estimates, not guarantees
Every savings figure in the app is an estimate and is labelled as one. It is calculated from weather data and the assumptions you provide (your rate, unit size, usage hours, and so on). We do not guarantee any particular saving, any particular comfort level, or that a suggested temperature is right for you. Actual results vary. Use your own judgement, and adjust to what feels comfortable and safe for you and anyone in your home.
Your purchase
AC Savings is paid once, up front, through the App Store or Google Play. All payments, receipts, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms — we never see or process your payment details. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices.
Weather & other data
Suggestions rely on third-party weather data (from MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, and a backup provider if configured). That data can be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable, and we are not responsible for it. What the app stores and the one thing that ever leaves your phone are covered in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please use the app lawfully and for its intended purpose. Don’t attempt to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app, and don’t rely on it as a substitute for professional, medical, or safety advice.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will match your bills.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any difference between estimated and actual savings or costs. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer laws that apply to you.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. When we change these terms we’ll post the update here with a new date; continuing to use the app means you accept the current version.
